To all those with a warm heart able to lend a helping hand to a greatly deserving and selfless individual in dire need, Our beloved Matthew Raymond of Santa Rosa Golf and Beach Club was in a life-altering automobile accident on August 14, 2025, while on his way to work at SRGBC. The accident was a T-Bone collision at speed on HWY 98 here in Santa Rosa Beach, leaving the drivers hospitalized from their injuries. Both drivers are fortunate enough to be alive, but Matt was left tattered, bruised, and broken. Suffering a fractured tibia, rendering Matt unable to walk, let alone work to support himself, his mother, and best friend Zoey (his beloved dog). The injuries will have Matt out of work for an estimated 6 months; that is 6 months without the ability to support his financial needs monthly without taking into account the additional medical expenses and damages to his vehicle. Anyone who knows Matt understands this couldn’t have happened to a more selfless, hard-working, and just all-around great person. Matt has spent twelve and a half years dedicating himself to his career at SRGBC, where the membership and team greatly value his friendship, camaraderie, work ethic, and experience. With his warm smile and jolly laugh, Matt is sure to warm up any room with his wonderful personality and will be greatly missed in his absence.
